A Watford pub has told punters it will reopen "bigger and better than ever" after it closed to enable a refurbishment.
The Wishing Well in St Albans Road shut on July 9 and is set to relaunch by the end of the month as Cother Arms.
The pub has been taken over by the Craft Union Pub Company which is part of the Stonegate Group, the UK's largest pubs operator.
On July 9, The Wishing Well held a “farewell” party but reassured punters on Facebook saying: “Don’t panic….We will be reopening at the end of the month with a whole new look, new name and we will be bigger and better than ever!!”

The following day, the pub posted: “The doors have closed on The Wishing Well for the last time soon to be reopened as The Cother Arms!!!! It’s been an emotional journey but with your continued custom and support it wouldn’t have been possible and it certainly wouldn’t have been as fun!!
“I’ve had a whale of a time running The Wishing Well for almost three years but good and better things are coming!! From myself and my team here we “Wish you Well” and we look forward to welcoming you on this new journey with us when we reopen!!”
