The UK will be having a heatwave this week and the temperature is expected to reach 30C in Watford today.
The day will be split with sunshine in the morning and clouds in the afternoon, the Met Office states.
It doesn’t mean the heat will reduce, because at 3pm the temperature is expected to reach its highest today at 30C.

- 9pm – 25C

According to the Met Office, humidity is expected to worse around 1pm.
UV and pollen levels are described as being high today and pollution has been given a medium rating.
Hertfordshire County Council has issued some top tips for staying safe in the heat this week.
They include:
- Close curtains on rooms that face the sun to keep indoor spaces cooler.
- Use cool spaces if going outdoors.
- Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol.
- Never leave anyone in a closed, parked vehicle, especially infants, young children, vulnerable adults, or animals.
- Try to keep out of the sun between 11am to 3pm, when the UV rays are strongest.
