Controversial housing plans involving the closure of a popular nightclub will not be decided for at least another two weeks.
The proposal, which has received more than 300 objections, is for 147 homes and some retail units in The Parade in Watford town centre.
The development would result in Pryzm nightclub closing, along with the Steinbeck & Shaw bar, Iceland supermarket, and Laser Planet.
In any case, the landlord of the building has said all of its tenants have been informed to leave by the end of January 2023 even if its plans are rejected by Watford Borough Council.
Planning approval by the council would all but seal the fate of the existing businesses but the plans are yet to be considered by the planning committee.
With a target date set by the council of reaching a decision by July 8, there was some expectation the plans might have been discussed at a planning meeting that was scheduled for July 5 in order to beat that deadline.
However, the application never appeared on the agenda and the meeting ended up being cancelled altogether because there were no other necessary applications in Watford that needed deciding at the time.
The next opportunity to make a decision on the plans is July 26, as this is when the planning committee is next scheduled to meet.
If this date is missed as well, then the next meeting is not until September 6 because of the summer break - unless an extraordinary meeting is called.
