It is testament to the relationship between Watford and Elton John that stories about his upcoming concerts at Vicarage Road have been topping our 'most read' section all week.
The two nights will be extra special to Hornets fans who not only love his music but associate him with Watford FC's golden era.

And after Graham Taylor was immortalised with a mural near the ground, there has been enormous excitement about the mural taking shape this week on the side of Watford library.
Again it seems fitting that the other half of the great Watford FC partnership has his own mural, not only at the stadium but a truly breathtaking one in the town centre - we hope it is not a temporary fixture.
This is, of course, the farewell tour - albeit postponed by the Covid pandemic - so may be the last time many get to see the Rocketman.

As Sir Paul McCartney proved at Glastonbury, there is nothing to stop great performers continuing even at the age of 80.
So to run through a few hits, Elton, don't go breaking our hearts and let's hope it's not really Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road and there are a few more Saturday nights left.
