Many people have been patiently waiting over a year for the return of a popular fish and chips shop – as it prepares for its reopening at a new store.
Meriden Fish Bar, in The Gossamers in the Meriden, closed its doors in April 2021 as part of the regeneration project bringing new housing on the estate.
The Meriden Regeneration Project also brought also a new shopping parade, and owner Donald Langford initially expected that he would be moving into the new location in the summer last year.
However, the move took much longer than expected, but after a series of delays it is nearly ready to open.
An official opening date has not been confirmed yet, but the fish bar shared a video captioned “almost ready” showing off the eye-catching interior of the new venue.
Many customers have shared their excitement on Facebook of the new look and said they “cannot wait” until it opens again.
