A contemporary Korean eatery has been lined up to fill an empty space in Watford town centre.
Grounded Kitchen, which is inspired by the flavours of Seoul and has a focus on healthy and balanced meals, looks set to move into the unit that was formerly Mod Pizza at the Atria Watford extension.
The chain has applied to Watford Borough Council to put up signs at the vacant site that is just off the high street.
Some of the dishes Grounded Kitchen serves at its existing seven restaurants include made-to-order Nourish Bowls, SsamBaps and Korean Bao.
Nourish Bowls consist of fresh vegetables, such as spinach, carrots, beetroot, peppers, avocado, edamame, sweet potato, spring onions, Korean Kimchi and fresh chillies, on a bed of brown or white rice infused with a range of authentic marinades.
There are vegetarian and vegan options which range from spiced mushrooms to potato, tofu or tempeh, while meat and fish eaters can pick sizzling king prawns, angus beef, wild salmon or chicken.
The application for consent to display signage can be found on the council planning portal via reference 22/00609/ADV.
