When it was announced in a blaze of publicity that there would be a ‘Jurassic Experience’ in Cassiobury Park featuring 50 life-sized dinosaurs, mayor Peter Taylor, as usual, got in on the act.
He promised a “fun, educational day out” for everyone to Watford Observer readers.
However, that’s not been the case. Parents have complained about the high prices and children have been left disappointed by the exhibits, many of which have been found to be toothless.
The mayor, something of an expert at being toothless given his inability to secure lower housing targets for the town, is remarkably silent over this fiasco and once again dodges taking responsibility for failure.
With the certainty of an asteroid hurtling towards the earth 65 million years ago, no doubt he’ll soon be blaming someone else for the extinction of the traditional Stevens Fun Fair from the park later this year. Rather than the Liberal Democrats themselves, who have decided to ban this popular event.
