The Southern Cross
A Greene King pub on 41-43 Langley Road. Reviewers complimented friendly their customer service and their high quality but affordable food. Punters can get a main meal for under £10.50, a wide selection of beer and wine, and amenities such as a pub garden and Sky and BT Sports. It’s also dog friendly.
The Horns
Based in Hempstead Road it calls itself “the best live music venue in Watford”. In addition to live music, it welcomes all ages until 8pm and offers Cask Marquee ale and a beer garden with heating.
The Golden Lion
Reviewers sung the praises of the bar’s welcoming atmosphere. The pub offers deals on drinks like 2 for £13.50 cocktail pitchers and 2 bottles of beer for £6.50.
The Railway Arms
The pub in Aldenham Road boasts a huge selection of entertainment such as Sky and BT Sports, a darts board, a jukebox and a pool table. Every Monday, customers can also enjoy 60p off a pint of real ale.
Walkabout
Prides itself as the “home of live sport”. The bar on 76 High Street offers Sky Sports, BT Sport, and Premier Sports, so customers can enjoy the football, darts, and F1 Racing.
The Slug & Lettuce
Offers a range of deals such as 2-for-1 cocktails and a £6 lunch before 4pm Monday-Friday.
The Round Bush
Offers a wide range of dishes such as steak, fish, burgers, and a £16 roast dinner. The pub also offers steak and wine Thursdays, where tables of four can enjoy a free bottle of house wine if they mention the promotion while booking.
Fox & Hounds
In nearby Croxley Green is another Greene King pub. Customers raved about the service and quality of the food, and like Southern Cross the price is reasonable and all the same amenities are offered.
