Watford FC legend Luther Blissett is set to send hundreds of runners on their way as the Abbots Langley Tough Ten race day returns.
On Sunday morning, participants of all ages will leave Manor House Playing Fields and embark on a park run or races of three, five or 10km.
Launched in 1982, the Tough Ten is a day for runners to stretch their legs and test their limits, all while raising money for worthy causes.
Over the years, money raised has gone to local youth clubs and groups like football sides and the Scouts.
There have been week-long trips on the water for young people with disabilities and hospices have also been supported.
Race day this coming Sunday (October 3) is one of the biggest events in Abbots Langley's calendar and there is still time to enter. It will be the 39th Tough Ten in the village.
The park run for little ones will begin at 9.30am with the 3km and 5km races at 10am and 10km event at 10.30am. All events will kick off at Manor House Playing Fields in Gallows Hill Lane.
Luther Blissett will set runners on their way and present medals and trophies to the winners upon their return.
