Hairdressers of the Year Winner

In June, the Watford Observer newspaper went on the search for the ‘Hairdressers of the Year’ as nominated and voted for by our readers. The winner was crowned and nowhere is their story.

Monica Massey the owner and manager of Monz Hair Designs sent us this statement -

I would like to start by thanking everyone who nominated and voted for us. I really cannot tell you all how much winning this award means to us at.

After being on Church Lane for 18 years, we began our journey as Zomon Hair Designs and we have progressed over the years into a friendly, family salon. We cater for all clientele of all age groups; everyone gets individual treatment from their stylist of choice.

We are a team of 9 stylists at present and winning this award has spurred all of us on to enable this business to grow even more. At this current time, I feel very lucky to still be one of the busiest salons in the area.

I am very lucky to work with such a strong team of experienced stylists, we have worked together for a long time, some of whom have been on this journey with me since the very beginning – Even after having their families, they have come back to the salon and maintained client continuity, which is so important.

On a personal note, I would like to acknowledge the continued loyalty and support I have always received from our team.

The past year has been extremely hard on the industry, we have all worried about the salon at times. Though now It is great to see our clients regular and new returning.

At Monz Hair Designs, we cover all aspects of hairdressing including, colouring, Balyage, Ombre, tinting, Hair up and perming. Hair Extensions are carried out by our resident Technician Vickie. We can cater to all clients, offering great prices and Black Friday sales.

Winning this award, as part of a winning team is one of the proudest moments of my career -Thank you.
