The CEO of a car showroom company is “absolutely delighted” to be opening a new site.
Citygate Automotive has completed six months of work to convert the former Skoda facility in Chalk Hill, Bushey, into a Kia sales floor.
The brand’s latest branch officially opened in July and also acts as service and maintenance centre.

Citygate CEO Jonathan Smith said: “We are absolutely delighted to further extend our presence in Watford by bringing this incredible brand to the town for the first time.
“Kia’s innovative line-up of models provides an excellent choice of electric, hybrid, petrol and diesel cars to Watford motorists and we look forward to welcoming new and existing customers to our brand new Kia showroom.
“This significant investment signifies our intent to grow our business in the local area in the coming years.”
The company says the move shows “a major commitment to its future in Watford” and adds to its existing Kia dealerships in Slough and High Wycombe.
Plans to convert the building were submitted to Hertsmere Borough Council in December, last year, and approved in February.
The site has been a car showroom since an application for change of use from a petrol station was accepted in February, 1994.
