A pedestrian has died following an incident that saw police close off a road.
Police were called to reports of a collision yesterday (Friday, December 2) at 5.50pm in Garston.
It involved a pedestrian and a car on the A405 North Orbital Road at the junction with Bucknalls Lane.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, sadly died at the scene, police have confirmed.

Police said the road was closed until midnight to allow investigations at the scene.
Confirmation comes after witnesses reported a massive police presence in the area, with some saying there were up to 12 police cars at the scene.
Anyone with any information about the crash should call 101 quoting ISR 613 of 2 December.
