A boy from South Oxhey is one of four children representing the UK in this year’s dirt-bike racing worldwide championship.
In August, Marty Spires, 10, will be heading to Finland with his parents and younger sister, Harper, 5, to compete in the FIM Junior Motocross World Championships.

He said: “It will be nerve racking, but I am very excited to be riding with people from other countries.
“I get a real buzz from riding.”
The competition will take place on August 27 and 28.
Mr Spires has been racing since the age of six and spends most weekends and one evening a week training.
His dad, also named Marty Spires, said: “It’s very exciting. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
