Unleaded and diesel fuel prices have increased in Watford since we last reported on the price hike.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, costs of daily essentials have risen - with an impact on all our lives.
We visited six forecourts in Watford on May 6 in the afternoon to see if prices have risen since we last investigated on March 9.

Asda at the Dome roundabout yesterday had its petrol priced at £1.58 per litre when previously, it cost £152.7. Its diesel has increased too, going from £159.0 to £1.71.
Across the road, the Shell petrol station near the Dome roundabout was selling petrol at £1.61 a litre and diesel at £1.75 a litre. This was up from £1.54 and £1.59 respectively.
Esso garage in St Albans Road, was selling its diesel at £1.76 per litre, up from £161.9 per litre the last time we reported. Unleaded petrol has also risen to £1.62 from £153.9 per litre.
Tesco Waterfield is selling unleaded and diesel at £1.61 and £1.73 per litre. In March, motorists paid £1.54 and £1.79

The average price of a litre of petrol rose from £149.2 on February 28 to £153.0 on March 9, according to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). The prices are now £1.62.48 per litre for petrol and £1.77.06 per litre for diesel.
