Watford youngsters Connor Smith and Britt Assombalonga have joined Wealdstone on loan until January 3.
The duo have yet to feature for the first team although both players were on the bench twice for the Hornets towards the end of last season.
Forward Smith is best known for finishing runner-up in Sky One’s ‘Football’s Next Star’ last year and has also represented the Republic of Ireland Under-19s, helping the team qualify for the elite phase of UEFA qualifiers for next summer's European Championships last month.
Assombalonga’s rise has been remarkable, with the forward being plucked from the club’s Community Trust coaching and education initiative.
The youngster scored ten times for the Under-18s last season, two goals behind top goalscorer Gavin Massey.
Smith and Assombalonga will join former Hornets Scott Fitzgerald and Jonathan North at non-league Wealdstone, who are currently 12th in the Ryman Premier League.
