The Hornets have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest forward Joe Garner for an undisclosed initial fee which the Watford Observer understands is in the region of £200,000.
Garner had a medical today and has signed a two-year contract with the club.
The 23-year-old started his career at Blackburn but after scoring five goals in 18 appearances on loan at Carlisle United, made the switch permanent in 2007.
He scored 14 goals in 35 outings that season to earn himself a move to Nottingham Forest for a fee in excess of £1.1m.
Garner was a regular for Forest in his first two seasons at the City Ground but then fell out of favour with former boss Billy Davies and spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town and Scunthorpe United.
He has made four appearances for Forest this season under Steve McClaren but the former England boss has let the forward leave in search of first team football.
