Watford have secured the future of young striker Gavin Massey on a new two-year contract.
Massey’s previous deal was not set to expire until next year but the Hornets have agreed a new contract, which will run until 2013.
The 18-year-old, who was wanted by Liverpool as a scholar, made his debut in the final game of the 2009/10 season and went on to make four more substitute appearance during the last campaign.
The striker also spent a couple of months at non-league Wealdstone last season but was unable to match the impact made by the likes of Marvin Sordell and Theo Robinson.
