Danny Graham is the Watford Observer Player of the Season.
The Hornets’ top scorer was the runaway winner of the prestigious award, polling more than twice as many voting points than runner-up Martin Taylor, and received the Watford Observer Trophy from Group Sports Editor Anthony Matthews and representatives of award sponsors SA Law shortly before kick-off in today’s final home game of the season against Queens Park Rangers.
The award is further recognition of a tremendous season for Graham, who looks set to finish the campaign as the Championship’s leading marksman after netting 27 times in all competitions to date and equalled a long-standing club record of scoring in seven consecutive matches for the club.
The 25-year-old striker was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Season earlier this month and also has several entries in contention for the Hornets’ Goal of the Season, which will be presented at the club’s end of season awards dinner tomorrow night.
