Liam Henderson’s spell at Aldershot Town has effectively ended but the striker will not be able to go back out on loan for another couple of weeks.
Henderson joined Aldershot on loan until the end of the season on January 5 but then five days later manager Kevin Dillon left the League Two side.
At the time, Watford manager Malky Mackay expected the striker to remain at the club regardless for at least the initial 28 days, which was written into the contract.
But new boss Dean Holdsworth decided Henderson was not going to feature and sent him back to the Hornets.
Mackay confirmed: “Liam is back training with us at the moment as Aldershot sent him back to us because the new manager didn't want him.
“But he is still under contract with them until the end of the month so we cannot send him back out under FA rules. He has another two weeks to ten days.”
