Watford full back Mat Sadler is on trial at League One side Huddersfield Town with the view to a loan move.
The left back, who was signed from Birmingham City in January 2008 for £750,000, has not featured for Watford since Boxing Day last year and has been training with Huddersfield this week.
Sadler, 24, will line-up for their Reserves this afternoon against Grimsby Town.
Huddersfield boss Lee Clarke, who used to play for Newcastle United and Fulham, told Town's website: “He did very well during his time with Birmingham and was part of the team that won promotion to the Premier League. I don’t quite know why things haven’t worked out for him at Watford to date.
“It has been a while since he has played first team football so this trial gives us the ideal chance to have a look at him.”
