Danny Graham scored his fourth goal in his first four games for Watford as the Hornets' unbeaten pre-season continued.

Graham, a free transfer from Carlisle United, gave Watford the lead in the first half against UE Lleida but an excellent second-half equaliser from Marc Sellares meant the game finished 1-1.

The Hornets, who had former Chelsea midfielder Enrique De Lucas starting tonight, return to the UK tomorrow after two draws against Spanish opposition and wins over non-league Wealdstone and Boreham Wood.

The 'Orns take on Serie A-side Parma on Saturday in their final pre-season game before the Championship season starts the following week at home to Doncaster Rovers.

Watford boss Malky Mackay will be delighted with Graham’s start at the club, especially considering the former Middlesbrough front man had not scored since January prior to his move to Vicarage Road.

Graham thought he had put the Hornets in front midway through the first half against Lleida when he finished well after being set up by Tamas Priskin, but the referee blew for offside.

The home side then had two great chances to score. First Scott Loach made an outstanding save to claw Sellares’ shot from the goal line and then after Lloyd Doyley was adjudged to have pulled down Sellares, Joan Figuerola struck his penalty against the bar.

Graham made the home side pay a minute later when Lleida keeper Joel Mur fumbled a through ball to the striker and he made no mistake from close range.

Surprisingly there were no changes at half time but it didn’t take long for Lleida to equalise.

A mix up between Doyley and Scott Severin led to Sellares picking up the ball 25 yards out and the striker smashed the ball into Loach’s top corner.

Watford created a few chances late on, with Don Cowie in particular having two one-on-one opportunities, but the visitors were unable to find the winner, despite Sellares being sent off for a second yellow card.

Watford starting XI: Loach; Mariappa, Williamson, DeMerit, Doyley; Bryan, De Lucas, Severin, Cowie; Graham, Priskin.
