Watford defender Craig Cathcart has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award.
The centre-back scored the winning goal in the Hornets' opening fixture of the campaign against Middlesbrough, while the team did not concede a single goal during the three games they played in the first month of the season.
Cathcart played every minute of those three matches.
Also nominated for the award are Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Johnson, Bristol City striker Jamie Paterson and Millwall midfielder Jed Wallace.
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
The winner of the September award will be announced on Friday, October 9.
