Tom Cleverley says he is relishing a regular run as an attacking midfielder under Marco Silva.
The former Manchester United man has started all five of Watford’s Premier League games this season, completing 90 minutes on all but one occasion.
He has formed a strong midfield three alongside Nathaniel Chalobah and Abdoulaye Doucoure and the trio are at the head of a congested midfield pecking order, which also includes Etienne Capoue, Ben Watson and Will Hughes.
Having arrived from Everton in January, initially on loan before completing a permanent move this summer, Cleverley has been used in a number of midfield roles.
He now looks to have tied down a spot as the most attack minded of Watford’s midfield triumvirate and is enjoying playing in the position.
“It is quite a different role for me, being so close to the striker, but one I am learning every week,” Cleverley said.
“The manager is helping me with that and. I am enjoying a run in the side and hopefully we can get back to performing well against Swansea.
“I like to play anywhere in the centre of midfield. In amongst it fighting for balls, that is where I like to be.”
