Rene Gilmartin and striker Mathias Ranegie have left Watford at the end of their contracts, as the Hornets announced their retained list this afternoon.
The duo were the only first-team players out of contract at Vicarage Road, but are joined by Under-23 quartet Ola Adeyemo, Charlie Bannister, Ogo Obi and Rhyle Ovenden in departing the club.
There is better news for Andrew Eleftheriou, Brandon Mason, and Carl Stewart, who each made their Watford debuts during the campaign, as well as Connor Stevens, with all four putting pen to paper on new deals.
Gilmartin's release signals the end of his second spell with the Hornets, originally enjoying a two-year stay at Vicarage Road from 2010 to 2012 before returning in 2014.
The ex-Ireland Under-21 goalkeeper made seven appearances for Watford in total.
Renegie made all of his 10 appearances for Watford in the 2013/14 season, scoring four times, but has spent the majority of the past three years away from the club, with Millwall, Dalian Yifang in China and Djugardens.
