Two more Watford players have had their immediate futures finalised following the announcement that Adam Thompson has joined Barnet on loan for a month.
Stephen McGinn has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan for the rest of the season, while Matt Bevans’ contract with the Hornets has been extended until the end of the campaign and he will also remain at Chesham United until the end of this month.
It is approaching two years since McGinn last played a Watford first-team game after suffering a serious knee ligament at Doncaster Rovers in February 2011.
Gianfranco Zola has made no secret of his desire to try and get the Scot some sustained game time and the hope for all parties will be that he now gets a run of matches for the League One club.
Defender Bevans was awarded more time by the Hornets after he sustained a knee injury during his Academy scholarship and that stay has now been extended further.
