Watford and Rickmansworth have been named as two of the worst digital TV blackspots in the London region.
Research carried out for Digital UK, the not-for-profit company overseeing the digital switch over, showed people in those towns suffered the poorest digital reception along with places like Barnet and Finchley in London.
However the company said the digital signal for Freeview in these areas should improve after the switchover from analogue begins next month.
The switchover begins on April 4, when analogue BBC Two is turned off across the London TV region.
Two weeks later, on April 18, the remaining analogue channels will close and Freeview coverage will reach its final levels.
