A new sculpture, designed by a student from West Herts College, has been unveiled in a Watford business park.
Katie Roberts won a competition to design a new piece of art for the Waterside Cafe in Croxley Green Business Park.
Ms Roberts said: "I created a design along the lines of a doorway which you walk through and into a relaxed and natural setting.
“As the design developed, it took the shape of a willow tree that you can walk through, enabling visitors and children to interact with the natural surroundings of the park.”
The sculpture was officially presented yesterday in the Hatters Lane park by the mayor of Watford Dorothy Thornhill and chairman of Three Rivers District Council Ron Spellen.
Alan Smallwood, 3D Design course leader at West Herts College, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Katie and I am delighted to see all her hard work has paid off.”
