An environmental organisation, based in Abbots Langley, has been given cash by a Hertfordshire County Councillor to help combat climate change.
Abbots Langley Transition Town Association, has been allocated £400 from Councillor Paul Goggins [Liberal Democrat], from his locality budget.
Launched in July 2009, the locality budget cash is given to worthy social, economic or environmental causes in Hertfordshire.
The association is hoping to respond to environmental challenges such as dwindling oil supplies and climate change.
The money received will be used to cover publicity materials, stationery, room hire and other costs involved in running the association's campaign to raise awareness and encourage sustainable living within Abbots Langley.
