Eagle-eyed viewers of cult comedy Peep Show may have recognised Watford town centre as the setting used in one particular episode.
And today, the team behind the hit Channel 4 show, Objective Productions, returned to The Parade to film scenes for a new comedy, Pete versus Life.
Taking the lead role as Pete is actor Rafe Spall, son of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Harry Potter star Timothy Spall.
Rafe's previous credits include the films Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.
Crowds gathered to watch the filming take place along The Parade, while some scenes were also filmed inside Kismet Kebab House.
Producer Phil Clarke, who along with director Becky Martin has worked on Peep Show, said: “Pete is a struggling sports writer. His life is commentated on by two sports commentators as if it was a large sporting event.”
The Parade appeared in episode six, series five, of Peep Show, when characters Jeremy and Super Hans begin busking outside a shop known as 'The New Wellness Centre', which is actually the base for a mysterious cult.
Pete versus Life is due to be shown on Channel 4 this summer.
