A GoFundMe page set up to support John Hunt and his daughter Amy has passed its target.
Horse racing broadcaster Matt Chapman, who created a GoFundMe page with the blessing of the Hunt family together with Betway’s head of communications Chad Yeomans, celebrated as it reached its goal of raising £100,000 for the family.
The page has been shared far and wide, especially across the racing community ever since it was started on Saturday, July 13.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Chapman said: “To everyone who has dug so deep in such financially challenging times thank you. Every donation special.
"Today the lads @coolmorestud got us to the magical £100,000. Over 2k individual donations.
"We are here for you @HuntyCaller.”
Mr Chapman had appealed for the public’s help to support the family after Carol, Hannah, and Louise Hunt were murdered in Ashlyn Close, Bushey, on July 9.
He added that his friend and colleague John, who was a racing commentator for BBC 5 Live and Sky, would love Amy to be able to “get through life without any financial worries" and called on people to donate “to show them just how much we care and love them”.
A statement released by John and Amy Hunt said: "The devastation that we are experiencing cannot be put into words.

“We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received in recent days. These have provided great comfort to us for which we are very grateful.
“As you can imagine, this is an extremely difficult time for us, and we need time and space to come to terms with what has happened and start the grieving process.
"While this is happening, we would ask that our privacy and that of our wider family and relations be respected at this time.
"Thank you.”
