An estate agent has exchanged contracts on the most expensive home ever sold on Watford’s Cassiobury Estate.
The five-bedroom house went for a cool £2.5 million after an initial guide price of £2.6 million was set.
Confirming the sale yesterday (March 12), atria Watford based Rolstons said it was “proud” to have secured the deal.

The estate agent said it could confirm that £2.5 million represented the most expensive sale in the Cassiobury Estate’s history.
The latest ONS data, for 2023, shows the Park ward (which corresponds to the Cassiobury area) had Watford’s priciest median house value.
“We have just exchanged contracts on one of Watford’s most prestigious properties and I believe for a record breaking price,” director Paul Gillespie said.
“We are very proud to have achieved a figure very close to the guide price for our seller clients, making this the most expensive house sold in Watford for a very, very long time.”
The previous owners had enlarged the home and maintained it to an “exceptional standard”, according to the brochure.
Inside there are five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a games room annexe, an “expansive” split-level open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area, two further reception rooms, a utility room, and a storage room.
It also has a large garden across its .55-acre plot including a pavilion.
