Police are investigating an incident where three flower planters were stolen from a traffic island.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says the large planters were taken in Gypsy Lane, Hunton Bridge, between 7.40 and 7.45pm on Sunday, August 9.

The force says the planters are of "great sentimental value" to the person who looks after them, as they were hand-made by their late father.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.

PC Amanda Douglas, who is investigating, said: “We appreciate that this offence happened some time ago now but we have made extensive enquiries into the incident since it was reported, and have now chosen to share this CCTV image with the public.

“If you recognise the person pictured, have any information on where the planters may be, or anything else that you feel could assist us with our investigation, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
