Nine schools in our area have asked pupils to self-isolate in line with coronavirus guidelines.

Public Health England data shows COVID-19 has mainly spread in educational settings since the start of term - and several schools across Hertsmere, Three Rivers and Kings Langley have confirmed that some students have been asked to stay at home.

Below is a list of schools where pupils have been asked to self-isolate.

Bushey Meads School, Bushey

Further pupils have tested positive for COVID-19 at Bushey Meads School.

The school says it has identified most of the close contacts that were made by students who recently tested positive for the virus.

In a newsletter sent out headteacher Jeremy Turner said any close contact would have happened within the friendship groups of those who tested positive.

While the school did not identify which year groups this involved, it is believed some students from Year 11 and Year 9 are among those who tested positive or were told to self-isolate.

Some staff members were also told to self-isolate since the start of the new term.
