A classic car reportedly on its way back from a car show went up in flames yesterday.
Fire crews were called to a blaze at 4.26pm yesterday (Monday) on the A405 in Garston, where they found the yellow classic car well alight in the middle of the road.
No injuries have been reported following the fire.
One witness, who did not wish to be named, said they were driving on the other side of the road when they came across the fire.
The witness said: “We went over to make sure no one was injured and the person driving the car was safe.
Firefighters putting out the fire
“Flames were going through the bonnet as well as lots of smoke. We began directing traffic away from the scene while we waited for the police and fire crews to arrive.”
One crew from Garston attended the incident, but could not save the car once the fire was put out.
