A Conservative councillor has resigned from his post – although the reasons behind his decision are not yet clear.
Ty Harris, who represented the Oxhey Hall and Hayling ward at Three Rivers District Council, informed his colleagues of his decision on Friday morning.
He will however retain his seat on Watford Rural Parish Council.
Mr Harris said he would not yet be offering a statement on his resignation.
In a statement, Three Rivers District Council said: "Cllr Ty Harris did not give a reason for his decision.
"The notification was received by Steven Halls, chief executive. The resignation takes effect immediately and an official notice has been published stating a vacancy has occurred in the ward.
"No date had yet been set to fill the vacancy."
