A supermarket has shut because water is pouring from the roof.
A burst water main caused the roof to collapse in ASDA in St Albans Road.
Shoppers were evacuated around 30 minutes ago and the store remains closed.
Glenda Gregory was shopping at the time and was "disgusted" by the attitude of ASDA workers.
She said: "The staff were very rude. The electric didn't get turned off as this was going to affect the tills, so they told customers to pay for their shopping because the shop was closing.
"It was a joke. They didn't care about the health and safety of their customers at all - they were more concerned about us paying before we left the store."
An employee said he was unable to comment.
