A metre wide hole has opened up on a road due to a burst water pipe.
Police were called to School Lane, in Bushey, following reports of a sinkhole which was caused by a burst water pipe.
Affinity Water will be dealing with the hole from now on and police have said Highways have taken over the road closure.
An Affinity Water spokesperson said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by a suspected burst water main on School Lane in Bushey.
“Our technicians are on their way to the site to investigate and arrange any necessary repair.
“We would like to thank our customers for their patience whilst we carry out this work.”
