Prizes have been given out to primary school children who painted their dreams.
The four winners, and their schools, today collected their share of £1,000 worth of prizes and saw their pictures blown up at Croxley Park, in Hatters Lane.
The winning entries cover the hoarding that surrounds a new development at the business park.
The winners were Leah Cupit, aged five, from Yorke Mead Primary School, Zofia Turon, aged seven, from St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, Kevin Tojo, aged nine, from Laurence Haines School and Isabella Kirtley, aged nine, from Holywell Primary School.
Each winner was given a £50 Hobby Craft voucher and their schools were awarded a £200 cheque to be spent on art supplies and books.
The prizes were awarded by Andrew Scarth, chairman of Three Rivers District Council, and Rob Flavelle, on behalf of Croxley Park.
Councillor Andrew Scarth said: “It’s a real pleasure to be here to admire the fantastic artwork from these schoolchildren and see it take centre stage, right at the heart of where Croxley Park is painting its own bigger picture for the future.
“This competition is an excellent example of local commerce engaging with schools and young people in the community. I congratulate all the winners, along with everyone who took part.”
The development is a 65,000 sq ft building that is due to be completed this year.
