The results for the Bushey North by-election for the county council seat have been announced.
The by-election was held on January 21 following the death of Conservative county councillor Steve O’Brien.
Jane Ann West held the seat for the Tories with 881 votes.
Liberal Democrat candidate Shailain Shah received 333 votes and Labour's Seamus Williams polled 286 votes.
UKIP candidate David Thomas Hoy received 176 votes.
