Pupils from a Garston school cycled in the tracks of Olympic stars Sir Bradley Wiggins and Laura Trott.
The pupils from Garston Manor School visited Lee Valley VeloPark in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for its Schools Festival on Monday.
Youngsters got a chance to try track cycling, BMX, road and mountain biking during the action packed day.
Garston Manor School teacher, Mr Cox, said: "For special needs students it’s a rare privilege to enter activity with mainstream schools on such a prestigious site.
“The social interaction, listening to and following instructions is something which will help them deal with real life."
Paul Osborn, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority Chairman, said: "We fund these Schools Festivals to give young people from across the region the chance to try sports for free in our inspirational venues.
"Today’s students joined almost 40,000 other participants who have been introduced to track cycling here since the venue was re-opened to the public."
