The Watford Muslim community came together to hold a candle-lit vigil for the victims of the shootings in Peshawar, Pakistan.
The vigil on Saturday remembered the 132 children and nine teachers who lost their lives in the attack earlier this month.
People held signs saying "terrorism has no place in religion", and prayers were said for the victims and their families.
Councilor Nasreen Shah, representative for Vicarage Ward, said: "The Watford Muslim community unequivocally condemns the attack on December 16 on a school in Peshawar, Pakistan, which left 132 children and nine teachers dead.
"We are deeply saddened and outraged by this cowardly and inhumane attack against innocent lives. There is no justification for such heinous crimes in the name of Islam, which is a religion of peace, love and understanding.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims and the injured of this unspeakable tragedy. We pray that Allah give them strength to get through this most difficult time."
