An operation to recover a sunken narrow boat from the lock system in Cassiobury Park is underway.
Workers are draining the boat of water in a bid to float it out the lock at Iron Bridge, where it has been stuck since yesterday.
A boat with a crane has tilted the vessel to aid the process, and it will guide the narrow boat out once it is light enough.
The boat was apparently trapped in a part of the lock gate and flipped over.
After it took on water, the narrow boat sunk but no one was injured in the incident.
The Grand Union Canal through the park has been blocked for the duration.
It is anticipated the boat will be removed from the lock system this afternoon.
