A Chorleywood millionnaire's assets have been frozen by authorities carrying out an investigation into money laundering.
Athos Pelekanos, of Lower Road, Chorleywood, has had assets worth more than £1.5m frozen following a joint investigation by the Assets Recovery Agency and Hertfordshire Constabulary.
The 36-year-old's assets include a property in Marbella, Spain, four properties in Hemel Hempstead and one in Berkhamsted.
Assets Recovery Agency deputy director, Charlie Dickin, said: "The court accepted that there was a real risk that his assets would be dissipated during the course of our investigation which is why we sought to obtain a Property Freezing Order.
"Now that the properties have been frozen by the High Court we will continue our investigation with a view to applying to the High Court to have the properties recovered."
