Staff at this Bushey pub have been "fighting over" a new popular dish, its owner has said, while unveiling a new summer menu.
The Three Crowns in High Road launched its updated food offering on Monday, May 13, as the landlords Kris and Bobbi Prowse prepare for the warmer weather.
The couple met while working there in 2018, and even got engaged in its garden two years later, before they were invited to take the pub on by former landlord Michael Duffy last September.
Landlady Bobbi said: “The new menu sees a return of a lot of our favourites like the burgers and ham, egg and chips, but then we’ve also got some exciting new dishes.
“We’ve got a homemade pork and apple sausage roll, which the staff have essentially been fighting over.”
She also expects the new chocolate brownie sundae will be popular, as she joked: “It’s absolutely lethal, I shared one with my sister the other day and I thought we might have to have a nap after!”
All the dishes were created by landlord and head chef Kris and are made fresh on site.
"We pride ourselves on being a really nice pub that does good food, it’s home-cooked and it’s good value,” Bobbi added.

Since taking over last year, the couple have made renovations to the inside and outside, as they redecorated the restaurant area and got new furniture in the autumn.
They also recently swapped the marquee in the back garden for a new pergola, which has freed-up space and will provide covered seating for the summer.
While she admitted that it is a “challenging time” for hospitality, Bobbi has felt supported by their customers since they took over.
“We are very fortunate in that we have the support of our community and all our new and long-standing customers,” she said.
“Our community gives so much to us and we’re always trying to give back to them and give them a nice place to eat and drink.”
The couple are planning to offer barbeque food as the weather gets warmer, and they are also excited to take part in the Bushey Performing Arts Festival on June 9, as well as the Round Table Beer and Cider Festival at the end of the summer.
