A local chef has launched a family restaurant of his own offering a “cozy atmosphere for everyone”.
La Casa Italian Cuisine, in Bushey High Street, opened on Saturday (February 24) with a menu involving all the classics customers would expect from a traditional Italian as well as some unique twists.
Owner Mithat Vata and his family live in Bushey, just a few minutes from the former China House unit La Casa has taken over, and have been working over the last few weeks to get everything set up.

Mithat said: “We are a new family business with many years of experience in hospitality, and would love to provide a homely, cosy atmosphere for everyone.
“We will work hard to make everyone satisfied and happy after visiting us.”
The Bushey resident has been a chef for more than 25 years and a head chef at restaurants for more than a decade.
So far customers have been very positive about the quality of the food, according to the family, particularly praising the atmosphere that has already been created within what is quite a small unit.
La Casa is open from 11am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 11am to 10.30m on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12pm to 9pm on Sundays.
