A popular café has confirmed it is closing “with immediate effect”.
Just off the Hunton Bridge roundabout, in Hempstead Road, Bean Here is now listed as permanently closed, as its owner said goodbye.
The artisan coffee house held an outstanding 5/5 from 130 reviews on Tripadvisor, which ranked it in the top 15 cafés in Hertfordshire.

A message on the café’s Facebook page this morning said: “After nearly 10 years of running Bean Here, it is with a mixture sadness and a hint of excitement that I have decided to close with immediate effect.
“It has been a lot of fun serving you and I am eternally grateful to all my customers over the years, some of you who have been coming right from the start, goodness knows why.”
Customers reacted with sadness to the news online and shared their well-wishes for the departing owner.
Many praised the quality coffee and food, but regulars also highlighted the staff, community, and ambiance.
In the post, Bean Here owner Tony added that he was looking forward to spending more time with his family, “and actually having a weekend off”.
“In closing I would like to thank each and every one of you for your good company and wish you every happiness for the future,” he added.
