Wagamama is set to open a second Watford location, a pair of planning applications suggest.
The Japanese restaurant chain applied for planning permission to hang Wagamama signs outside the former Frankie & Benny’s unit in Woodside Leisure Park this morning (January 5).
Two proposals were sent to Watford Borough Council, one for changes to the shopfront including new windows and sliding doors and another for a set of illuminated lettering.

- Starbucks set for Watford Woodside Leisure Park in new plan
The chain already has a location in Watford town centre. The Watford Observer has contacted Wagamama for confirmation it is set to open at the leisure park.
The Frankie & Benny’s restaurant shut down last year. It followed the closure of Chiquito Watford two doors down.
Separate plans have revealed that the former Chiquito unit is set to be split into two, with Nando’s confirmed to be opening in the large part and Starbucks believed to be lined up for the smaller one.
