A new Watford textiles shop has shared an inside look after a successful opening week.
Bilal Majeed, who has run The Fabric Box in Watford Market since 2017, opened A&M Textiles in the former Dracula’s European Foods unit, next to Canvas Bar, in The Parade on May 13.
Watford mayor Peter Taylor cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony and Bilal described an “exciting” first week.

“It's been a wonderful experience in our new store so far, where customers have more of a variety of fabrics and accessories,” he said.
“We’ve had lots of new customers who never knew we existed in the town.
“We are really pleased with the move, as are our customers. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our customers who have supported us in this journey.”
The business also has branches in High Wycombe, Aylesbury and north London and has been operating for 15 years.
Bilal told the Watford Observer the “unique store” will provide fabrics for dress making, haberdashery, net curtains, knitting wool, and other uses.
He claimed some customers said it will be the first “proper fabric store” in Watford for more than 20 years.
