Displaced Watford gymnasts have found a new home in the town after being forced out when rent tripled.
Dolphina Gymnastics, formerly based in an 8,500-square-foot Greycaine Road warehouse that it refurbished with Sport England funding, has had to run its classes from a temporary location at Tanners Wood Hall, in Abbots Langley since February.
To make the move, the club, which had more than 1,000 members, had to make staff redundant and send its elite gymnasts away to other clubs because it was not suitable for their needs.

However, after ONE YMCA read the Watford Observer’s article on the group’s struggle since its landlord raised the rent to nearly £200,000, it offered the club a place.
Yesterday (May 14), Dolphina Gymnastics shared the “big news” that it will be running classes at the YMCA Community Hub in Haines Way from June 19.
“A big thank you to Abbots Langley Parish Council for letting us use Tanners Wood Hall to continue our classes over the past few months, we are very very grateful,” the club added.
