Households across three postcodes near Watford have been left without power.
Properties in Kings Langley, Hunton Bridge, Nash Mills, and Bedmond lost power from around 9.45am (May 14) due to an unplanned power cut, UK Power Networks has confirmed.
The network operator has said it is currently investigating and fixing the problem, which was caused by an underground electricity cable faulting on its high voltage network.

“We may be able to get some customers on sooner,” UK Power Networks added.
“The timeframe may change and be extended depending on our investigations and the work involved to resolve the issue.”
It is thought that 257 properties were affected. Engineers arrived at the site at around 10.20am and were able to divert electricity around the faulted equipment to get power back for most customers who had lost it.
